The jesmonite bowl of this coffee table is inspired by the ‘Asanka’ – a traditional shallow clay bowl used to blend and grind food in Ghana and many other parts of West Africa. The table’s wooden base is inspired by the Adinkra symbol ‘Adinkrahene’. It is a symbol, which is regarded as the chief of all the Adinkra symbols. This table’s colour pays homage to the rich red laterite soil of Ghana and the rich browns of its timbers. There is both strength and vulnerability in how it sits off centred. AMWA Designs invites you to display and fill the table with that which is close to your heart.
* The Asanka table is made to order and is also available in other colours (Prussian Blue / Orange, Charcoal Grey / Black + Yellow). Please be aware that there is scope to specify colour ways.
